Rachel Salcedo was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. From this military base, her parents decided to move the family to Orlando, Florida, where she was brought up near vast highways and the homeless. Rachel grew up in cities, changed schools like a nomad, her movements from house to house depended only on her parents’ opinion of the depreciating state of the neighborhood. In school, she was never taught to be imaginative, but her family pushed her to write stories from a young age — a way to keep a child’s mind buzzing.

Rachel moved to Tallahassee, Florida in 2005, and earned a degree in creative writing. As an English Instructor, she lived and taught in South Korea for five years and relocated to the permanent summers of Malaysia in 2014. She now resides in Lumut, which is also where this tale is postponed.

This website consists of just what the subtitle implies, “True Tales, Stories and Lies.” It is up to anyone bored enough to decipher fact from fiction, but I advance to you that neither truly exists.
